San Antonio Set for Slam Dunk as 2025 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® Approaches

Officials Unveil Fan Experiences and Community Events to Tip Off Basketball Championship

San Antonio, TX – The countdown to one of college basketball’s most prestigious events has officially begun. At a press conference held on Tuesday, January 28, San Antonio proudly announced its readiness to host the 2025 NCAA Men’s Final Four weekend and a slate of engaging community events, scheduled for April 4-7 downtown and at the iconic Alamodome. This marks the city’s fifth time hosting the Men’s Final Four, showcasing its enduring reputation as a premier destination for championship events.

Elena Wells, executive director of the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee (SALOC), shared her excitement: “In 68 days, San Antonio will once again welcome the NCAA, student-athletes and basketball fans, whether they are from San Antonio, Texas or across the nation. With our vibrant community spirit and deep passion for sports, we are ready to deliver an unforgettable Final Four experience.”

Adding to the enthusiasm, San Antonio City Manager Erik Walsh said, “Our city thrives on hosting world-class events. The 2025 Men’s Final Four will not only bring excitement to basketball fans but also create lasting impacts through community initiatives and economic contributions. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to San Antonio.”

Plans for the 2025  Men’s Final Four programs and events were shared by SALOC, city and NCAA officials at a news conference at the San Antonio Boys & Girls Club Rayburn Clubhouse, site of the NCAA Men’s Final Four Legacy Project presented by Dove Men+Care. This initiative is one of numerous community projects set to enhance the city as San Antonio prepares to host the tournament.

One of San Antonio’s distinct advantages as a Final Four host city is its convenient, walkable downtown footprint. The Final Four games will be played in the Alamodome, and the fan events will take place just a short walk away in the heart of downtown.

“The NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners contribute significantly to the success of the Men’s Final Four by providing cost-friendly activities for people of all ages,” said Dan Gavitt, NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball. “One of the many great things about the Men’s Final Four is you don’t have to have a ticket to the games to be able to get in on the fun. The TNT Sports Live Events team works with our staff to ensure that everyone who visits San Antonio during Final Four weekend will have a terrific time with numerous events in the area.”
